"During a recent family emergency I had to call on Nicky State to assist in caring for two infirm old dogs that required a lot of attention for a period of two weeks. You can tell a dog person when you meet one. They stand apart from 'normal' people and display certain characteristics due to their affection for their four legged friends. Due to an unusual set of circumstances Nicky had to look after very demanding dogs due to their age and condition, and she did so with absolute aplomb. "Having only recently been married, moved into a new house, and now expecting our first baby, Lise and I have lately been very pressed for time. Unfortunately, taking our dogs (Jet and Max) for a walk seemed to be the first thing that got neglected. I think Max highlighted this best by taking it upon herself to escape the yard (several times), and take herself for a walk. Which is actually how we met Nicky, who found Max on the street, and looked after her for the afternoon. Now our dogs (with their good friend Hershey) get regularly exercised a few days a week (and thoroughly exercised at that - you can really tell in the evening that they went for a walk that day). And all at very reasonable prices. Nicky is fantastic with the dogs, having also looked after them a couple of times when we were having work done in the backyard. I highly recommend Nicky for your dog. Although be warned - its now at the stage where as far as the dogs are concerned, Nicky is the highlight of their day, and I am merely the 'guy who fills up their water'".

"A few months ago, I began contemplating adopting a new dog.  I started looking at puppies, however this brought the unavoidable problem that a puppy needs more attention during the day than I could give her, as I work almost full time.  After doing a search on the internet, a solution presented itself - hire a puppy sitter.  However, after further investigation, they all seemed too expensive for me to afford.  Then I came across an article in the local paper, about a business called Hershey's Friends. In the article Nicky said she offered a quality dog sitting service for an affordable price.  I decided to get in contact with Nicky and was very pleased with her quote, so we arranged to meet and discuss things further.  From this first meeting I felt very comfortable with Nicky, and so did Charlotte, my new puppy.  Having Nicky come around each day gives me peace of mind.  I know that Charlotte will be getting the stimulation, socialisation and attention she needs, and I also know that if Charlotte has happened to get herself into trouble Nicky will be able to deal with it long before I would be able to - and this could mean the difference between life and death for Charlotte.  Nicky regularly texts me pictures she has taken of Charlotte at play, and leaves me notes each day about how she and Charlotte spent their time, so I always feel a part of Charlotte's day.
